of daly city. police and emergency crews on the scene of an apartment complex off interstate 280 not too far from the city's chinese christian cemetery. "today in the bay's" marla tellez is live in daly city with more on details that are going on right now. marla, what's the latest? >> reporter: well, laura, police are being extremely tight lipped. i just spoke to an officer as he made his way out of his patrol car here. i said can you tell us what's going on? he said i know nothing. that's the way this is being handled. we're waiting for more information from daly city police. a press release supposed to be issued at any time. this is off 280 off hickey boulevard on imperial way. it came in as some sort of a shooting or a stabbing. here's what we can tell you at the height of it there were plenty of police officers, ambulances on scene. at one point our photographer captured a person being carried away on a stretcher. we also got shots of a white sedan inside the parking garage here and in the front driver's seat you can see blood stains on the driver's seat inside that car. again,

francisco, claudine wong, ktvu channel 2 news. >>> a fight between a father and a son in daly city this morning left both men with serious injuries. it happened at the kron colony apartment complex. daly city police say the father called 911 about 2:30 to report he had been stabbed. officers found the father who is in his 30s, had been stabbed four times. his 19-year-old son had a traumatic head injury. both were taken to the hospital and are expected to survive. there's no word yet on what caused the fight or in any charges -- or if any charges will be filed. >> two placer county teenaged girls are accused of drugging one of the girls' parents just to be able to use the internet. the suspects are 16 and 15 years old. they are accused of -- accused of putting sleeping bills in a milk shake -- pimms in a mill -- pills in a milk shake. they wake up feeling groggy and took a drug test. >>> a day-long rally at the state capitol is aimed at providing new protections for the homeless. >> right now, you can't discriminate against persons because of their race, their sex, their age, their condi

joins us from daly city with more. monty? >> reporter: good evening. you cannot just walk into the cow palace and walk out with a gun. that's because here in califoia there's a ten-day waiting period. there are, however, no such restrictions on ammunition. i've seen quite a few people walking out with large boxes of ammo just within the last hour. people lined up here, some of them as early as 4:00 a.m. to get into the annual event at the cow palace called the crossroads of the west gun show. gun show organizers claim they had triple the number of people here compared to last year. we have not been able to verify that, but it's fair to say the turnout here was large and the lines during the day were very long. now, as congress looks at a possible ban on assault weapons and high-capacity magazines, there is already such a ban on assault weapons here in california. still the owner of the gun show says the big turnout this year is being fueled by a fear that the nation's gun laws may change in other ways in light of the tragedy in newtown, connecticut. >> the politicians are attempting to

they're calling these major delays on the daly city line out towards the east bay. the problem is they had to take two richmond trains and a pittsburg-bay point train out of service. they may have been damaged by something on the tracks. so this is the opposite of the commute direction which is good news but again at least half hour delays out of daly city heading towards richmond and in the pittsburg-bay point direction. also some slight ace train delays. they are doing track maintenance so five- to ten- minute delays. quick look at 101. there's a new accident a backup in sunnyvale. this is this accident we have been following 101 at fair oaks so it's stacked up into santa clara because of this earlier big rig accident that happened three hours ago. >> thank you. >>> here in the bay area, michelle, the big easy we know it's a beautiful city. you have taken us on a tour and some residents there say san francisco helped in a big way to keep it that i what. what do you mean by that? >> reporter: well, frank, let me ask you real quickly, do you remember the embarcadero freeway when i

exit in daly city. c-h-p says a single car appears to have crashed into a guardrail shortly after 8-15 this evening. authorities say the crash may have caused the vehicle to catch on fire. one person has been transported to s-f general. no word on the victim's condition or if there were any other injuries. also new at 11. two santa rosa brothers are in custody today after firing an assault rifle at a home when they were thrown out from a party early this morning. the shooting was reported shortly before two this morning on lutztown court. police say a tan jeep drove into the area. firing at the house. and then collided with a parked car. the two were involved in a fight at the party and were asked to leave. only to return ten minutes later with an assault rifle. police later located the vehicle and traced it to the apple valley lane apartment complex and arrested alexis rueda and his brother eduardo rueda. the assault rifle was later found in a nearby shed. in east palo alto, a man is recovering after being stabbed this morning. the stabbing happened at an apartment complex on east o'k
